Founded by Jackie Thomas and DeeAnn McCoy, Thomboy Properties is a leading force in preserving and revitalizing mid-century modern architecture in Palm Springs. Their passion for the desert lifestyle began in the 1980s, eventually inspiring them to purchase their first home in the iconic Palmer & Krisel-designed Canyon View Estates in 2005. Driven by a desire to leave their corporate careers behind, they made Palm Springs their full-time home in 2010 and turned their love for architecture into a thriving business.

Thomboy Properties has since gained widespread recognition for its meticulous restorations that honor the original architectural intent while seamlessly integrating modern comforts. Notable projects include the revival of the Gillman Residence, a 1948 Herbert W. Burns masterpiece, where their careful attention to detail breathed new life into this historic home. Their dedication to authenticity and innovative design was recognized in 2023 when they received the Residential Renovation Award from the Palm Springs Modern Committee.

Through their thoughtful approach, Thomas and McCoy continue to elevate Palm Springs’ architectural heritage, blending timeless design with contemporary living to ensure these historic homes are celebrated for generations to come.

In 2010, amid one of the most challenging economic downturns in decades, they boldly left their successful marketing and advertising careers to follow their passion for mid-century modern architecture. This leap of faith led to the founding of Thomboy Properties, Inc.
